Hi, my name is Maria Temelkos and I am a modern marriage celebrant, an MC and a fully fledged FROCKER (female ROCKER) who brings a fresh and upbeat approach to marriage making. Let’s just say I consider myself a wedding celebrant with a difference! A vet nurse by day and a professional singer by night with the award winning covers band THE FROCKS, I feel at home when connecting with my couples, writing their love story and presenting it on the day with MAX energy and engagement. My ceremonies are fluff and cliche free focussing on celebrating the uniqueness of my couples, both as individuals and as partners. I take the time to truly get to know you, ensuring the day is nothing but MAGIC! I am passionate about bringing all people together in the name of love regardless of age, race, gender, sexuality, religion or culture. The Best Day Eva…
Would you like the perfect wedding with the WOW Factor? Would you like ME to create it entirely for you? What’s a perfect wedding?….Celebrating everything that brought you to this moment in a special place with your family and friends. Weddings should be all about the two of you and what makes you happy. Nothing else matters. As long as we include the 124 legally required words, the ceremony can take whatever theme or format you like! I’ll take the time to get to know you and then write a ceremony specifically for the both of you. I’ll do all your legals and you won’t need to worry about a thing. I’ll write a ceremony so special that you’ll never forget it, & neither will your friends and family. And when it’s all done, I’ll hi-five and hug you.
If you’re keen to really get the most out of your ceremony, then this is the one for you.

Legals Only
can marry you with the absolute bare minimum by saying the 124 legals required words, sign some paperwork, and you’re on your way! This option is popular for couples who may have been together for many years and a requesting a “NO CEREMONY” option to take advantage of marriage equality and be legally married by simply just signing the paperwork. Others may be getting hitched (non legally) overseas but want the legalities sorted here, or those that just want a fuss free, no bells and whistles experience.
I can marry you with the absolute legal minimum requirements. all you have to do is book me in for a Legals only Ceremony, and I’ll prepare the necessary paperwork to get you married

Elopements
An Elopement ceremony is a more intimate experience and we only require a minimum of 2 witnesses, the couple and myself. The difference between a wedding and an elopement is the emphasis on the celebration of a marriage over the hosting of a wedding. An elopement can still be amazing, beautiful, wonderful, and romantic…..
Elopements are awesome if you’re avoiding all the craziness involved in a big wedding. As a government-authorised marriage celebrant, I am more than happy to marry you anywhere…. literally. All the legal documentation is completed in Australia so you are legally married.

Renewal of Vows
Many couples choose to renew their wedding vows for lots of different reasons. Some couples may do so to commemorate a special anniversary or milestone, whilst others may choose to do it to include family members or friends who couldn’t attend their wedding.
As a vow renewal ceremony is not legally binding, it can be done at any time after the wedding. For some couples, there is no better way to commemorate a milestone wedding anniversary such as the 10th, 25th or even a 50th, than with a vow renewal ceremony.
Some couples choose to renew their vows include to celebrate the birth of a child, or when family members who were absent at the first wedding return back home, or when one partner has overcome a serious illness or injury and the couple want to celebrate what they perceive as a second chance in life.
Renewal of vows can be for couples who never had the opportunity to have the wedding they wanted, or for those who want to recreate the magical moment of all that time ago.
Couples may want to renew their vows with their children in order for them to be included in their commitment to them as a family.

Entertainment from a multi award-winning covers band.
The Frocks and The Frocks Duo is currently one of Sydney’s most popular cover bands. With music that entertains, music that will have you tearing up the dance floor, and best of all music that keeps you partying long into the night, their infectious sound puts the ROCK into FROCK. The Frocks caters for all music fans, teens to grandparents! The song list is tailored to any audience to ensure your wedding reception is a complete success. The Frocks’ extensive repertoire includes the glittering disco hits of the 70′s, the bubble-gum flavored pop of the 80′s, the break dancing beats of the 90′s, and the rocking radio hits of today. The Frocks deliver organic versions of Top 40 party music the way you want to hear it. What sets this band apart from other Sydney cover bands? The Frocks have been performing for over 20 years and has performed over 1000 shows together while at the same time keeping up with music trends. All 4 members have years of experience working both together and individually including performing radio jingles, performing at major corporate functions and performing with artists such as Jimmy Barnes and Johnny Diesel, to audiences of up to 10,000. The Frocks were also involved in writing and producing the theme song for a well known cable television show which is currently being internationally broadcast. You will not see another band like them.

I get to know my couples quite well during the formation of your custom ceremony, so I can flow your desired energy/style through into the evenings celebrations!

(a) dont wish to put the “pressure” of public speaking on any of their guests
(b) dont “trust” any of their guests with a microphone once the night becomes a little more jovial!

Baby Naming
An emerging identity all begins with one thing – a name. Simply put, a naming day is a symbolic celebration that requires no licences and has no legalities.
A naming ceremony can take any format that you choose. It can be a simple welcome to the world, a formal naming of your child, or a blessing for your baby and family. So let’s create a fun and informal naming ceremony that expresses your love, hope and joy for your child.
We can introduce special friends, supportive adults or even a Fairy Godmother into their lives as an alternative to the traditional godparent. I’ll create a unique personalised ceremony to make the naming day one you’ll always remember.

Marriage Legal Information
To be married in Australia you need to be 18 years old, or older, not already married, consenting and willing to marry & not in a prohibited relationship. if you can meet those conditions, and can give me more than one month’s notice then you can be married in Australia, regardless of gender, religion, country of origin, ethnicity, citizenship, or residential status.
Sound Equipment/PA System
I believe that your marriage ceremony and vows are worth being heard, and heard clearly, so I have Sennheiser and Bose sound equipment, with handheld Sennheiser microphones, so the entire crowd can clearly hear everything. Your music, whether it’s live or off a device, can also be played through my PA system. The sound system was the most common complaint people had about other celebrants so I invested heavily in this area. Your videographers can get a line out of my PA system plus I have a wireless receiver for their cameras so they get a clean feed of the audio of the ceremony and vows.
Inclusivity
It’s important to me that your wedding is inclusive of all people, genders, sexualities, ethnicity, abilities, pretty much just everyone, and I will do my best to lead that inclusivity.
Wedding Rehearsal
There’s no rule that says you must have a wedding rehearsal. If your wedding is small, with few or no wedding attendants, and does not include any wedding traditions, customs, or special readings, then you can probably get away with not having a formal rehearsal. “Insider Tip”- Not a lot of celebrants can be bothered with them. Me, on the other hand. I am a big fan! Rehearsals help calm the nerves and make the photos look so much better because we would have discussed positioning. We will chat about the pros and cons of having one, so you can figure out what’s right for you.
Finances
I ask for a deposit upfront, and the final payment is two weeks prior to the ceremony and/ or event. Payment of your deposit and complettion of the booking form locks and secures the date in to my calendar
